Hi Guys, iv got an rs4 and just bought an a4 2.0 tdi due to my rs4 draining fuel, does anyone know the MPG of the 2.0 tdi auto? it seems to me to be qiute steep.Can i get some feedback guys?Thanks!

saloon auto is quoted as 45 - take about 80% of that figure for a realistic mixed driving pattern

What sort of journeys are you doing? If it's lots of very short ones then you'll be lucky to see 30mpg. Our 1.9 130 manual averages high 30s. That's with several shortish (5-6 mile) journeys every day on twisty country roads.
I've got a bluefinned 2.0 TDI auto sportback. My 700 mile weekly round trip, mainly motorways, to Germany cruising between 80-90 (bit higher in Germany) gives me 41mpg (same route each week), at 70-80 cruising this goes up to 45 mpg-ish and with a little care can get 48mpg. Pottering around at weekends though only about 30mpg-ish. Bluefin, incidentally hardly seems to have changed these numbers at all.
