BP Ultimate Diesel

Do any of you use BP Ultimate Diesel?

I'm picking up my new A4 1.9tdi next week and would like to get the most from the car.

It may be a little more expensive, but my main concerns are,

1. Do you find any increase in performance?
2. Any changes in MPG?
3. Is the car more/less smokier?

I would appreciate your thoughts.

Rubbish.

Go to Ultimate Diesel, I have noticed a difference in response and in figures. Maybe not too much in peroformance but your always guaranteed the benefit of the doubt.

Cleaner for your engine / Run Synthetic oil after a few K's

Performance does seem slightly better but difficult to be objective without testing it against a clock etc

MPG generally worse than other good quality diesel like Shell.

I found it to be slightly smokier than normal.

Any car I've seen running on bp ultimate petrol or diesel has actually made less power on a dyno run than the shell powered equivalent - I'd rate it about the same as supermarket stuff - avoid!

I've found no power increase at all with Ultimate, and both Shell and Ultimate have knocked 3-4 mpg off. No doubt it cleans the injectors etc, but I'd stick to normal BP!

My TDI quattro feels quite alot smoother to drive after a few tanks of BP ultimate compared to the old stuff.
Performance is 50/50 really imo
