Air Bag Warning after window tints

Just had all the rear widows tinted in my 54plate A4 1.9TDI Sport Avant, halfway home the air bag warning light came on. Does anyone have any ideas what may of caused it? I want to avoid having to take it to a dealer if possible. Thanks in advance.

this is precisely what worries me about having my windows tinted,the whole taking my car apart bit makes me feel sligtly un nerved

It's obvious.

The tint you've gone for is too dark. Get it re-done with a lighter shade and you should be ok.

i dont understand what you mean?the percentage of tint can effect your airbag warning light?,how and why?

Lol, you're right, had them replaced with 50's and problem's gone.

The wiring was disturbed by moving the front seats, took it to a specialist to run VAG COM and had fault removed, so everything's ok now!
