puff, oil, whine smoke.help

Hi, trying to overtake, total power loss, lots of whining white smoke and then oil- not that much mind.
a3 2.0 tdi. 2004

Ive had the tray off this morning and can not see any thing obvious -to a novice. Now it does not want to start and sounds terrible.

Any help?

Turbo is smashed to pieces, ...just finding out whether any has been sucked into the engine- if so its scrap!

How is/was your driving style?
Was it serviced regularly?
Anything else unusual?

Driving style normal -80% motorway
regularly serviced
Car was remapped to 170 bhp by rsd developmets, as it was an oettinger show car before audi sold it to me. No paper work on that mind- but 12 weeks out or warrenty!!!!!!

Here is the end of the story, The engine survived but..
new turbo and new exhaust system as the Cat was full of oil. In all £2700 worth of work..

Hats off to Listers Audi who got Audi Uk to stump up over 2k leaving me with a far more manageable 600 quid bill.

The same happened to my A3 2.0tdi(bluefinned) @65k , 1 month warranty remaining,but over mileage.(Audi goodwill not cost effective)
Cost me £700 for new turbo. Not running bluefin anymore, don't want anymore engine troubles.
