A4 Exhaust Smell

Hey all just found this site when searching for symtoms of my cars problem.

I have a 2004 A4 TDi (130bhp) with 62k miles and i am noticing a really strong smell or carbon .

Its so bad it makes my eyes water when standing alongside the car when its running.

Anyone know what the prob could be ?

Yes. Your tearducts are reacting to the carbon. I suggest less sensitive tearducts! Sorry, it amused me at least! Hope someone else can be more constructive... I'm sure someone will be!
