Ever noticed how the 2.5 V6 TDI engine gets a bigger looking set of tailpipes than the 2.8 petrol or even the S4 (2.7 Bi Turbo)

I wonder why that is? ....looks cool anyway.

Size isn't everything!
Any pics showing the difference between the pipes?
I suppose it could be something to do with the higher density of particulates in diesels, coupled with higher throughflow rates of Exhaust Gasses, but its just a guess!
