cam belt change...... how much?

car is a 1.9tdi (110) 1996 a4 - i need a new cam belt but am gonna give the main stealers a miss.
any ideas of how cheaply this can be done?

just had an A4 B6 130 done at a local specialist for £450 including a service and water pump. well worth getting the pump done as the belt has to come off again if you have to do it later anyway.

Similar for my A4 130 (at an Audi dealer) - £355 for the cambelt, pretensioner, water pump and some other belt(?). Shame I forgot it was due for a new belt 5k miles ago, when I had the service.

mine was £360 about 6 months ago - might be worth giving your local skoda or seat dealer a ring as it's all VAG and there often cheaper than the audi dealers

got cam kit and pump and total including fitting cost me 190!!

i've heard prices from around £150 so that's sounding mor like it.
where was that?

I charge £150 labour + parts - usually £150 odd.
