Just thought I'd let you diesel owners know about a guy at work who's just had is A3 130 TDi in at the dealers.
The car was running a bit funny, lumpy idle, a bit more noisy than usual but nothing major....he thought.
Dealer spent a few hours trying to pin-point the problem. It so happens 3 of the cars 4 injectors are ******** and need replacing, but they've suggested that all 4 are replaced.
The cost...you'd better sit down for this...
4 injectors at £400 (+VAT) each, equals £1600 (+VAT)
4 hours labour at £70 (+VAT) per hour, equals £280 (+VAT)
Which gives a final total of: £2209 !!!!!!!!

Needless to say, the guy at work is very happy the car is under warranty.
