Problems finding a replacement turbo - anyone help??

The turbo on my '00 Avant 115bhp PD is knackered; according to Turbo Technics it's leaking oil to the exhaust side.
Apparently these turbos (p/n 028 245 702R) can't be reconditioned so I have to buy new. Turbo Technics have them on order from Garrett but their delivery is a week overdue; they may be in today but I'm not holding my breath.
I could buy direct from Audi but they're almost £200 more than from Turbo Technics.
Does anyone know of another source?

vag parts might have one or perhaps a breakers for a short term fix?

I'm looking for new rather than used so a breaker will be an absolute last resort.

try 4ringspares they might have a second hand one, theres a place in Blackpool where I bought a new turbo for my VW LT, i'll try find the number.

or get an auto trader, theres dozens of turbo specialist's in the parts section.

i've read too many stories of crappy turbo's from breakers to even consider it if i was keeping the car...even if they did offer a 'warranty'..

also VAG Parts are good on price but they won't get anything to you quicker than TT can.

£606 from Audi with a two-year warranty, £412 from Turbo Technics with a one-year warranty (I think I've got that right); both + VAT.

I was told today that stock has arrived at TT and they will be despatching tomorrow.

FYI, the VAG p/n is 028 145 702R
