I'm looking to get my 2002 A4 100TDi SE remapped but unsure if I should as I was not too happy with the last car that I had chipped. I had a Peugeot 307 110Hdi chipped and found the car basically fell apart afterwards, rough running, cat replacement.

To try and persuade me that the Audi will deal with it better I'm trying to find out what is the difference in engine between a 100, 115 130 etc. If it is only software then I'd be happy.

Looking at my engine bay there appears to be an intercooler installed making me think that the car should be geared up to handle the extra power without too much hassle.

Anyone give me some reassuring words here?

Cheers

Well if it helps any my wife's previous skoda fabia 1.9PD100 had the same engine as yours and was remapped to 142bhp and covered 76000 fault free miles without ever missing a beat!

Thanks for the reply .... 142bhp, a bit more than I expected and the mileage gives me a bit of confidence.

i have 130k on a chipped 2.5 tdi, no problems atall.
