Allard EGR Delete kit?

Anyone used these?


Allard EGR Valve Delete Pipe Golf Audi Seat Skoda Tdi on eBay (end time 26-Jan-11 22:20:33 GMT)

There seems to be inconclusive evidence that blanking / removing the egr gives ecu faults, some people get faults, some don't.

Think mine may be leaking as there's an exhaust smell if stationery for to long so would like to do this mod if it's going work as good as it sounds.

From what i understand its mainly the newer diesels that gets the engine light come on, cause they got a sensor after the EGR and they dont like it if there is no gasses detected.

I think most diesels from the 90s and early 2000s are ok.

I got a fault code on my old 1.9tdi vrs skoda and also engine shut down shudder which was annoying.

I regretted having it fitted tbh.

Mine isnt hooked up, completely bypassed and doesnt throw any codes.

i trialed this on my 2004 2.0tdi a3 8p shape . disconected the egr bloeked it off . it did pick up quicker , but then eml light came on.drove it around a week then decided to put it back to standard and the eml light went out after a couple of short runs lol. my baby a3 fixed her self lol

My 2002 130 pd hasn't brought any lights up & doesn't shudder when I turn it off....Just lucky maybe

Many Pd from 2003 on would throw a code if they sense the EGR fow to be too small... Early pd had no issues.

Mechanically you don't need any kit, just blanks to seal it off, hen an EGR delete in the ECU.
