Getting rid of orange peel?

Hello,
Recently got a Votex front lip sprayed and fitted to my A3 and you can notice that the finish is not quite as good as the factory finish. There is a very slight ripple / orange peel effect that I would like to get rid of, are their any products that can be applied by hand to smooth the finish to something approaching factory standard? Im new to detailing so any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Sanding is really the only way.

If it's been sprayed that badly, I would be taking it back :S

i used 800 grit wet and dry then 1200 and then used a cutting compund, but be prepared to spend a few hours doing it though! it will also help if you have a electric buffer!
