This is a massive question. And I have a little time on my hands so here we go!
If you want to get rid of the swirls you will have to get a Daul action polisher (DA For short), the DAS6 from polishedbliss or cleanyourcar are great, I have this and its great! I have the menzerna pads but would recommend the sonus pads personally.

The DA is pretty safe, rotary polishers are a little chaeper but you need a bit of practice before having a go on your car (use scrap car panels or a partners/wife's car!!!) Menzerna polishes are brillian and what most recommend. I use these and get brilliant results, the only polish I will ever use. You remove swirls by taking down the clearcoat, so care must be taken when doing this to not go strike through the clearcoat. Start with the least abrasive polish and the lightest cutting pad, then work your way down to the finish you require, but audi paint is pretty hard and thick, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
I understand that this is a pretty expensive kit, you can do it by hand, however to remove swirls it is extremely hard work and can take days if you want to do a proper job! But this is a great kit for polishing by hand

The other way to do it is to fill the scratches by using a filling polish, poorboys black hole or autoglym super resin polish. These can be applied by hand or DA. But it won't be permanent and it won't be as good a finish as removing the swirls permanently.
Or you could hire a detailer to do the job professionally for you so all you need to do is aquire a decent washing method to keep swirls to a minimum, as this is when most swirling occurs. But where's the fun in that!!! (Just my opnion) Here are some decent guides.
