    This weather isn't kind

2 hours to clean, polish and wax, one half hour drive on the motorway and it's filthy again. Why do we bother?

Most of us don't, we just hope the work we put in, in a pre-winter prep, will be protecting the paint

I do it to protect my paint for when the weather is good, so it looks pristine. That's not the best comment to put on a detailing forum really, with people who are "keen" on keeping their motors looking nice.

I don't think it was said in the way you have taken it, Rowdyboy, more of a passing comment.

What I tend to do is a winter prep as alot of the guys do. Then when winter hits its just a case of foam and rinse, hopefully with some filtered water, I'm probably going to go for a water filter from D'Aqua in the next few months.
When summer comes around its a good spray with some APC or the like and then I bring the car back to its original lustre.
I was looking on Polished Bliss's website last night and then tend use P21's for a good strip of LSP's etc, what do you guys think of this stuff?. Is their something better out there?. I've heard Tardis mentioned....................
    Cheers

I've just used chemical guys strong wash. Excellent stuff. The collinite came off very easily. Its kind to your paint and only costs 7.

P21s is good, I have used it a number of times. TBH, I just go over the car with some Lime Prime to take off all LSP and gives a fresh finish. Soft finishing pad and on Audi paint there is no more paint cut, so not loosing out on microns!!

Then seal and top up wax/spray sealent like Chem Guys Blitz after each wash.
