What experience do people have using those rubber blades for removing excess water from their cars? Advantages and any drawbacks please. Thinking of getting one but wasn't sure how effective they are and if they damage the paintwork in anyway!

Havent used a Turtlewax one, use a normal cheap one and dries the car so much faster then using chamois and a lot less hassle!

Silicone blades don't scrach the paint work, Great for wiping water off on large areas, eg, roof, bonet, sides windws, then just chamios the corners, sills etc where there may be water. Drying my car only takes 5-10 mins tops.

They are great for getting tid of the majority of water so the drying cloth doesnt get so wet... Just be careful it hasnt picked up any grip!

Used autoglim blade on last car 330ci works well
but after a while it will start to score paint work
its very good but not worth the hassle, use a chamoius leather.

The chamois tends to hold particles in the pores, and is less likely to get them on the paintwork
