Someone has given me some Sonus pads for my Porter Cable, the pads are about 12 – 18 months old so the meaning of their colour may have changed, for example I have a Blue one but Sonus don’t do a Blue coloured pad anymore. Does anyone have an idea, or can remember what each colour means?

1 x white mounted on a backing plate
1 x white Velcro fixing
1 x yellow Velcro fixing
1 x blue Velcro fixing
2 x light blue bonnets

Thanks for your help

Bin the white one with the fixed backing, and the microfibre bonnets too - all perform poorly. The white, yellow and blue pads are all good, and if I recall correctly the yellow is a cutting pad, the white is a polsihing pad and the blue is a finishing pad. However, check this by softness - the harder the pad the more cut if offers, so the light cut pad will feel hardest, the finishing pad will feel softest, and the polishing pad will sit somwhere in between. :icon_thumright:

 Cheers Rich, I new it was only a matter of time until you turned up and put things right.
