Hi im starting to get some fine scratches on my piano trim in my 8L S3, especially around the gear stick. I was just wondering what the experts use to keep their trim looking tip top?
If the scratches are becoming noticeable, the best way forward would be to lightly polish the offending areas using a fragile abrasive that breaks down easily on plastics. The product I would choose would be Menzerna Final Polish II, applied using small cut down pieces of a Lake Country German CCS Polishing Pad. Final Polish II offers a reasonable level of cut, but breaks down very easily with just normal hand pressure. This makes it ideal for polishing out defects from soft paints and hard gloss plastics. Once polished, you can either leave such surfaces bare, or protect them with a sealant or wax. Of course, the less often you wipe them down in the future, the less chance there will be of the problem returning. :icon_thumright:
