    Arrow N8 KOW v Matt Andrew's A3

    Hello Peeps

I haven’t posted on here for a long while. Well now I’m back, and I’m starting up my own detailing company called ‘Kowalski Details’. So if any of you are in need of one, then feel free to drop me a pm, may organise a “group buy” for this later on. This detail took place over Wednesday & Thursday this week (haven't detailed for a while, write-ups take ages don't they!!) A 60 mile round trip was in order from Manchester to Tideswell. This very nicely modded Akoya Silver A3 belongs our good friend Matt Andrew. He's abit of a modding freak like me, always wanting to take things up a level

On with the pics, the car wasn't too dirty before hand:

Gazebo was set up (First time using, thanks to Baker21 from DW)

First job was to attack the wheels, so out with the usual suspects

Wheels cleaned using Bilberry - Only got the Envy Valeting brush the other day and for Ł4 you seriously can't go wrong! Thanks Tim

    Tyres scrubbed using Megs APC

Left me with something like this

Arches cleaned using my new Vikan brush

Then first go on another new toy (Been spending quite abit of late), the build quality of the Kranzle feels like a Bentley GT, anyone thinking of getting one DO IT!!!

    Wheels & Arches rinsed

Left me with something like this

The 2 buckets after all 4 wheels (Don't you love when the neighbours have a nose and say why are you using 2 buckets)

Next Megs APC used on all the shuts etc

Car then foamed, with Elite HD Lance & Foam

    Then rinsed

2 Bucket Method then used via Megs Shampoo

Car was then rinsed and clayed using Megs Mild Clay and Last Touch. Quite alot of overspray (from his workshop)

Car was then rinsed, which left something like this

Engine bay was then done, started like this

    During using Megs Superdegreaser

    303 used

    Afters

    Car moved under the Gazebo

Dried using a leaf blower & Drying Towel

    Car was then masked up

I love this pic. Looks so mean

    Some defects before

On with the task. Using the G220, megs polishing pad & Menz 3.02

    Reflections were looking good

Lights done via Final Finish on Polished Bliss finishing Pad. Lovely reflections from them

    t]

Night time was drawing in, so left it there, came back next day to finish off

    nt]

Some rain the previous night, this beading from from machine polishing only

    LSP was vics concours

    Rims done via Rim Wax

    Tyres done via Blackfire

I love the finish this gives

    Exhausts Before

Autosol & 00 Grade Wire wool & Megs Polish used

Leaving this result (Just bought some Blackfire Metal Sealant I will use on the next detail)

Z8 used to top it off

    Some After Pics

My favourite pics from the Correction

    My favourite pic

I was happy with the level of correction that I achieved. I really enjoyed doing Matt's car. Following the results, I'm back for Monday & Tuesday doing his Dad's ML320 cdi

Thanks for looking guys, you've been a great audience

Any comments, feedback, advice, its all welcome.

"Alright" as in "decent for the amateur car enthusiast but not good enough for professional detailing"?

LMAO. "Alright" as in, its an alright machine. But I know a rotary will deliver better results regardless of whether its a profession/hobby etc.

Thanks for that. Been thinking about getting one. I think it'll be good (and safe) enough for me. I'm not brave enough to even consider a rotary!!

    superb finish, well done chap!!!

ive never seen leaf blowing drying been done before. id be a bit scared of blowing up some grit onto the paint, then rubbing the drying towel on the paint. i find while the car is wet to spray some QD then wipe dry with a sonus drying towel.

Thanks Mikey. Clark from polished bliss uses the same one! Quite a few pros on detailing world use them, its not a problem as long as your not blowing the grit off the floor onto the paintwork

Deffo invest in one Dave, even Megs 83 on a polishing pad will improve your paintwork to end! Topped off with some wax of course. What car do you have?
