I recently bought an A6 2.7t Avant and purchased a set of replica s8 wheels to finish the look. Wheels were fitted by Surrey based tyre specialist, RSR tyres - the front supported by 4 mm spacers. Unfortunately found out today from my mechanic that the wheels had the wrong offset and should never have been fitted (bought separately on ebay - there is a lesson to learn!) there was less than three turns of the bolts holding the wheels on!!

Needless to say I still want to get a nice set of wheels for my car and would prefer to use OEM Audi wheels. Can someone advise me where the best place would be to find a decent set of wheels at a reasonable price or is there anyone offering a nice set of original Audi's for sale

Thanks

Have you looked into getting longer wheel bolts ?

First off, Welcome to the forum.

You don't say what offset the S8 replicas are.

Generally spacer are used to correct th difference in offset so the wheel may still be ok for the car. All you need is the correct spacers and the correct length wheel bolts.

The reason you only have three turns of the wheel bolt is because you are still using the original bolts. Obviously if you have fitted spacers then the bolts also need to be longer.

Also look at the classified section on here as there is always a good selection of wheels for sale.
