Having caught the detailing bug about six months ago, I have bought many chemicals, cloths, accessoreis and three polishing machines. But until three weeks ago, I only ever owned one wax - Zymol Carbon, £46, Polished Bliss. Oh, and the HD Cleanse to go with it. I have to say that these two items have always amazed me throughout my car detailing.

Because of this, I thought I would share the HD Cleanse and Carbon look with the Forum by presenting a summary of its use on several colours of paint. You will hear many people say that the final look on a car is 95% to do with the techniques and surface preparation prior to the final application of the Last Stage Product. I have to say that my own experience has shown this to be sound advice.

All of the cars shown here were given a Strip and Cleanse wash, followed by claying, then HD Cleansed and topped with Carbon. All of these processes are completely within the reaches of most people on the Forum, provided they do some research first - i.e., read and question the Polished Bliss Detailing Guides!

All of the cars, except Lightspeed's Red A4 Avant, were machined.

I hope that people who read this thread might be convinced to try Carbon was as their LSP. I have found the wax to offer very good durability and a fantastic warm finish on all the colours of car I've used it on. I've only got about eight full-car applications left and by the time it's finished will have got approx 25 coatings from it. This represents very good value for money I reckon.

All in all, this wax gives a warm, glossy and wet finish - three characteristics that I look for in a finish.

Questions and comments are welcomed.

Thanks,

JOHN

all very nice details indeed! I recently purchased a small bottle of HD Cleanse to try out along with Blackfire wax

Havent got round to using it yet but just waiting for a clear weekend to try them out! looking forward to the finish! :D

Great results. I think i'll have to invest in some at some point soon

Thanks guys!

The HD Cleanse is a great product but just don't use too much of it!!:icon_thumright:

That's some portfolio of work! Aye, Carbon is a cracker... hard to beat at the price point on dark metallics (and red it would seem!). I think it works a lot better than most waxes on white and silver (some white shots below to give others and idea), and is only a little way behind the Werkstatt Acrylic system in this respect (whereas most other waxes don't come close - I think it's the blue dye in it that does it!). Last thing - you forgot to mention how lovely it smells! Surely one of the nicest smelling waxes ever?

I've got carbon but never actually used it. Mainly because after 5+ hours of machine polishing cant resist putting on the best wax i've got, concours.
