Rotary polisher advice

Hi Everyone

I need some advice a friend of mine is selling a rotary polisher
his wife bought him it`s a makita 9227c but he`d bought a pc from america and his missus didn`t know.

Has anyone tried or have one of these and do they fit standard uk metric polishing pads (meguiars) due to it being a uk model or will it be an american thread (unc) and if so will this cause any problems.

The Makita 9227CB is the unit we use all the time; if it's UK sourced it should have a M14 thread suited to the Meguiars 125 mm backing plate and 6" pads. It's a great tool, but needs a fair bit of practice to get used to (and to use safely!).
