    Auto Glym Tyre Dressing

Halfords have got a 3-for-2 on at the mo so I stocked up on cleaning products at the weekend and picked up a bottle of AG Tyre Dressing as my freebie. I washed my car and set about dressing the tyres but the stuff's so runny and the spray so harsh the mist hits the tyres and goes all over the wheels and freshly cleaned bodywork

Judicious wiping after the fact meant that my wheels and bodywork remained clean, and I liked the results once it had dried however there was a lot that had run off onto the driveway and I'm concerned it will mark the paving.

Does anyone have any tips for using this product without getting it everywhere?

Easy one - get a foam applicator - there are lot's of specialist one's on things like clean your car, polished bliss etc etc, but I think a foam kitchen scrubber from tesco's would do the same job!
Simply spray the tyre dressing on to the foam scrubber away from your car (to prevent the mist going on to your hard work!) and wipe round the tyre. I tend to add spray a couple of squirts do the top half, then a couple of squirts for the bottom half.

Be sure to wipe any residue off your clean alloys as it sometimes attracts dirt.

I think the residue on your drive will come off with some degreaser!!! Using the foam applicator also prevents the markign on your drive!

    Hope this helps.

ohh yeah, and it also means your using just 4 squirts rather than the 10-15 you'd probably use when spraying diret on to the tyre - it'll last you ages now!!!

AG Bumper Car also works very well on tyres. It's much thicker, and needs to be put on with a sponge or similar.

I've always used a soft brush, two squirts on the brush and it does a whole tyre.
