I'm new here and I have a new car too. :)

I've owned my A3 S-line for just under two weeks and when I cleaned it for the first time, I've noticed that there is quite a lot of tar on the alloys. I've had this problem on previous cars, and I find it a real nightmare to remove.

What is the best way to remove tar from alloys?

Use Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover. You can get it in Halfords.

I found a little petrol on a rag works as well as any products on the market as long as you re-apply some good quality polish to the area afterwards.

HI
Furniture polish..eg Pledge does the trick......use it a lot for cleaning tar off white motorcycle wheels...doesnt smudge it around
