Start with 1500grit wet sandpaper then progress up to 2000 then 2500 and so on, then usually any cutting compound that is suitable to remove 1500grit marks on a 4" pad and machine it to a perfect finish

what uv protection do you use ?

If you mean for the headlights they've got a coating if car pro DLUX on 2 year plastic protection
