Hi all,
apologies for this question that most will probably laugh at, but I'm new to detailing. Can someone please explain what 'the 2 bucket system' is and it's benefits. Thanks in advance

One is for wash water i.e. shampoo/water mix. The other is for clean rinse water. After you wash a section, dunk your mitt in the rinse bucket to wash the dirt off. So you would be alternately washing and dunking in the rinse bucket.

The idea is simple, to keep the dirt on the mitt from going back into the wash bucket.

Also when you put your mitt into the rinse bucket its good to have a grit guard so the dirt stays at the bottom of the bucket and doesn't come back up onto the mitt.

That's great. Thanks guys. I'm assuming warm water for both buckets?

The 2 bucket system is a must. As is NOT using a sponge!
