I'll be using the car for the next week, and it just wasn't clean enough, plus I had a few new products to try out... just a few pics...all on the iPhone, sorry!
before, car is nice and dirty - ESP the windows which I hate..
wheels didn't look like they had been cleaned for ages...
so the first thing up was my new Sonax wheel cleaner... spray on, it bleeds red while working, and a quick brush and spray left this:
for 'just' a wheel cleaner, I thought it worked really well, fast and easy to use too.....
the car was strayed with G101, then onto the snow foam, got to have a photo of that by law...
this was left for 5 minutes, then washed off.... another coat went on, then, since this is a quick wash, I just used my CG clay mitt to clean the car... so cleaned and clayed at the same time, just using snow foam...
that left me with this:
I then had to do something about the engine...as you can see...
the engine was cleaned with Definitive engine cleaner, and dressed with PERL, I also topped up the antifreeze and put some new screen wash in too...
I had planed to go around the car with my new Sonax finish polish... I selected my DA and yellow 3M pad for the work.... shocked to say it's the worst polish I've ever used in my life... could not get on with it... and after 3 panels, and multiple wipedowns with IPA it was making a mess of the car... so that got dropped, and I changed over the Megs 205... which sorted everything out.... allowing me to zoom around the car...
the windows were coated in the Autobrite stuff, which works well and lasts a couple of weeks in my experience...just long enough...
inside was cleaned too, and then the car got a final wipe down with the Sonax Quick detailer.... I got this after seeing people getting great results and the products seems to have pretty durable protective qualities... so I'm interested to see how that goes... Wasn't the best to use IMO, seems to be very sticky and not as slick as others that I've used...
anyway.... some final pics...
so that's that... 3 new products all from the same company... 1 great, 1 rubbish and 1 still to be decided....
