Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a topic which has come up again and again...

I have a pretty new black metallic Audi and have been using Autoglym wet wax but i find it lasts about 2 days max down the side panels if they get muddy. I live down a country lane which is pretty terrible in winter but its only the side panels and the bottom section of the boot area that i'm having trouble with.

Maybe i need a sealant or to change the wax. Anyone used a sealant and wet wax?

Any suggestions? Its got to be easy to apply

Hi Mate,

My usually method was to apply AutoGlym SRP and the AutoGlym HD Wax. But another member on the forum recommened that I use AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection before the waxing stage. It has really made some difference so that would be my recommendation. All are very easily applied and removed.

My understanding is that you do not need to use both, and it states that on the website. Im a fan if Autoglym stuff, so im going to try, claying, HD deep cleanser, SRP, then EGP. You then keep adding EGP every time the water stops beading or the beading deteriorates and see how that works out. I would add EGP after every few washes or another coat every month especially in the winter months.

2 coats of Angelwax Dark Angel.
Angelwax QED(quik detailer) every wash to top up the wax.
All I use and can't recommend it enough for black cars m8 :)
