Ok so I bought my A3 1.8T a week or so ago, I got a bargain, however it is in mechanically sound condition, the body work.. is not. There is many scratches and scuffs and even a couple of dents.
I thought I would tackle the worst scratches/scuffs first and I opted to use G3 Scratch Remover Paste (instead of megs scratch-x). £7.99 from halfrauds... thought I'd give it a go. I used a damp microfiber towel as the applicator and a clean microfiber cloth as the buffer.
Scratch before:
After 7-8mins of elbow grease (keep adding paste as it breaks down)
Also tried on the major wheel arch scuffs
Before:
After:
Not bad for £7.99... I am hoping this has not just concealed the scratches and they will magically re-appear in a couple of days, time will tell. But a well worth buying product, these were deep scratches and scuffs.
