My S4 cabriolet is about to come up to its first service - any ideas what this typically costs at a main dealer / independent? Many thanks

I`ll find out for you, I have a friend who works at Audi. I know the Listers Audi dealership in Coventry is roughly £100 an hr labour, that includes VAT
IIRC, services are based upon engine size and interval.
for a first service i'd expect about 250-350 for the base service. Expect a wild variation between dealerships, so shop around Audi dealers.
then if the car is nearly at 20k, they'll suggest a brake fluid change (about £50) and if you have quattro, a further 60-70 for a haldex oil change.
