Thread: Chrome wing mirror care?

What would you use if anything on chrome wing mirrors?
I'm not sure what to use on them polish wise, is metal polish ok or is it a no no?

Soapy water....I wouldn't polish them or go near them with anything else just incase they haze up or get small swirl marks

Something mild like Dodo Juice Lime Prime and then the protection you use in the rest of the car will be fine

I'd use Werkstat Prime: Werkstat Prime Acrylic | Werkstat Car Care & Detailing Products

Non abrasive so it'd won't mark or cut into the surface but uses chemical cleaners to improve the appearance and it leaves behind sealant protection.

It's also ideal for paintwork, glass, wheels and exhaust tips.

These types of chrome are usually lacquered so a metal polish isn't something I'd recommend unless the surface was badly marked.

They are alloy not chrome my mistake, does this make a difference on what I can use?
They look a bit flat if I'm honest & look dusty even though I've washed etc.
