Hi all,
I brought my 51 plate, black metallic, S3 a month ago and have stupidly been jet washing it with my girlfriends jet wash.
I've obviously been getting to close to the paintwork because recently ive noticed areas of dullness on the paintwork. Especially on the bumper. These areas are really soft to the touch and hazey - I'm sure ive taken off the laquer!!!

Is there anything I can do to sort this out, or do you know of any specialist help that can rectify this without a full respray???

Your help is much appreciated...

can you see the lacquer flaking off. on my polo you could see it lifting / bubbling.
take some pictures of the offending area and post them on here. it may well just need a good polish if it's getting dull.
lets hope it's just confined to the bumper as dead easy to respray!

Thanks for your comments. I'll post what the dealer says about it later...

S3wanter,

Sorry to see damage on a nice motor. It definately looks to me as though water has got inbetween base coat and lacquer. Maybe from jetwash on a stonechipped area !

Hope you get it sorted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif
