audiA6 cream gunge on oil fill cap

my A6 2.8 quattro /98 i have noticed it has abuild up cream gunge on the oil filler cap,no oil in coolant tank any ideas about it please,i am worried,i only use the car for short runs,weather v/cold

sounds like water getting into your oil. could be leaking head gasket. I'm no expert, but i had that on an old rover of mine at about 120000 miles and it was the head gasket.

DEFF water in the oil, unless u have used a oil to top it up that has been outside with the posibility of water getting in there , its your head gasket! get it looked at ASAP

could be the engine not geeting up to temp and not buring of the water in the oil from the breather system. have this alot in the winter in my car as i do alot of short runs but as soon as you go for a good run it goes.
