Hi all

As the title suggests, I'm after some further help.

Next week I got the week off work so I will be performing my first full detail on the car. I'm still a few products short which I will order tomorrow but there's one which I need help on.

This rubber trim:

What product will I need to protect it and help keep its colour?

Secondly, I'm not sure what pads/polish I'm supposed to be using:

If I remember rightly the yellow pad is softest so I'm guessing that is the chosen pad? Can somebody please confirm this is the case. I'm also guessing that I use the power finish or doesn't it really matter?

Thanks in advance.

James

The Yellow is a final finish Pad to be used after correction, only use the white pad for heavy cutting (if needed). The orange pad and power finish is what you should use first. Use a good starter trim gel like CG New look trim gel as this is a good basic product.

That a good product but it's the same as AG Bumper Gel

AG vinyl & rubber care is good for that trim. Easier to use than the bumper care as it comes as a spray, its less greasy than the bumper care gel as well. Good luck with the detail

The spray will work just as well but only if James spray's a small amount on a foam pad well away from the freshly polished, sealed, waxed panels
