Door Hinge Detail...

After being inspired by a fellow ASN member S4twiggy i decided i was going to clean my door hinges/surrounds today. Only had time to do one door as i was off out to watch the footie!!

Lovely. It's amazing how grubby they get in there.. (tbh, I should re-grease mine again soon as I've cleaned the important stuff off! haha)

Often an area thats over looked and/or missed on detaills, so, good work.

I'd say so, yeah. It's obviously there (in exccessive amounts) for a reason.

Mine developed a bit of a squeak upon opening so that was my giveaway :p
 
Ye... mine did the same.
The creak for me far out weighed the shame of a bit of fresh grease.
I used a small paint brush to aply white grease to the areas needed.
 
So the black plastic caps arent there to take off to put grease down them then?
 
What did you use to clean the grease of fella?

They have come up lovely :)

People are gonna prob kill me on here for saying so but i used something from the kitchen........
CIF Power cream lemon:scared2:
Rinses off easily and buffed up nicely with my wax spray

*ducks for cover*

Seems to have worked well though fella !
 
Like i say i got no complaints - sprayed it on, agitated with a toothbrush ( an old one!) and rinsed off after about a minute. Repeated again on harder parts.
What are the black plastic caps for? I want to re grease and thought maybe there were the greasing points??
 
CIF Cleaner. tut,tut,tut. Wozki i did advise you to use product's that are safe (acid free). Next you will be using Bleach to wash your car.
