Treating A cabriolet roof on a mk1 golf... ( its gone all grey)

Ive been cleaning my mk1 recently and although i can get a good shine on the paint the roof is a big let down. It looks sooo old. Its patchy . Yesterday when i sprayed a little detailer spray on the car and it hit the roof it did seem to help but as it dried this soon faded too.

Is there any product/ method that will help??

Not a painted one.

hi Im new on this site, I,m looking to convert my Audi a4 b6 model to a newer model.. just need to know is it possible to have bonnet of a 2009 model fitted on my b6 model.. will the bonnet go on with out any complications??
