Thread: Mobile remap for my 97 a3 1.8t

Hi guys.
I'm looking to get my car phase one remapped and as i'm very busy with work the mobile option seems to be the best bet.
I was wondering if this would be possible as my car is an early 97 model and from what i understand you will need to remove the ecu to install a chip so the map will take.
Is this true?
Are your mobile guys equipped to do this on site or will i be without my car for a few days?
Also how much will it be in total?

We can offer the mobile service (20% discount from RRP £282inc VAT) but I would need to confirm ECU Code, on some early models you can flash them and we cannot offer a mobile chip change service.

How would i go about finding my ecu code apart from popping the wipers off and reading it directly off the ecu.
