Thread: What gains should I see from a remapped 2.0 TDi 170?

As title says.

My car was recently remapped but a power run shows that it's only putting out 185bhp at the wheels when it was 168bhp before the remap. This seems like quite a poor increase when I've heard so much about these engines being mapped between 200 and 210. Is that supposed to be the figure at the wheels or the flywheel?

On the 170PD unit we quote between 200-210bhp at the flywheel and around 25-30% increase in torque.

Transmission losses worked out at 10% 206bhp = 185.4bhp at the wheels - 170bhp at the flywheel should be around 153bhp at the wheels.
