I love them and the Mexico is a favourite.
p.s. Where's the poll?
Unmolested Ming blue S3 (so it doesn't handle or stop very well), Bose, sunroof and centre armrest but no heated seats - Gone but not forgotten although I am enjoying the new 350CLK!

I can see it at the top. Is it not showing for you?

Superb car of its time brother had a white one and it went like the clappers handled well as it should being rally inspired.

2009 BMW K1300S, ABS, ASC,OBC, heated grips

I still love these. A mate had an tuned orange RS2000 & another had a mk1 Mexico with tuned 2.1 Pinto engine. Great fun to drive

Yeah Ford did some nice cult cars around that time RS2000, Mexico, RS1800, anyone remember the Harrier?
You still see plenty of Mk2 escorts on the rally seen even now
Would love any of the above as a toy, so much easier to work on than todays cars!!

i love them, but have to say i prefer the mk1 escort to mk2, apart from this one with the droop snoot front end
rear wheel drive fun.
the 2.1 pinto was a real good engine (they all were infact Mexico,RS)
wouldnt mind a X-Pack mk2 to blast about in today but sadly there arnt many left and the ones that are left are fetching big money
3dr Dolphin Grey Audi A3 2.0 TDI S-Line
I know nothing about them, but the Mk11 RS2000 is deffo cool!

To do: Joey-mod headlights - Twin Exit Exhaust Conversion - Puddle light and Footwell light retrofit - Rear roof spoiler.
WANTED: Unpainted standard front & rear lower valance (with twin exhaust cut outs) - from someone who's doing an S-Line upgrade.
Definately one for my `dream garage`.
RS2000 (MK1 preferably), with 4x4 Cosworth engine and running gear putting out around 400bhp.
Seen it years ago in a performance Ford mag sitting on its bump stops with OEM RS rims in a FORD green colour.
Fantastic.
Very cool.
My first car was a Mk1 escort 1100 into which I transplated a MK2 cortina 1600GT engine and Capri running gear as the original non servod drum brakes were scary, but the thing I remember most about the car was the foot pump on the floor for the windscreen washers!!!........How times have changed.![]()
