Just seen this and thought I'd share here;

A motor show without an Audi Concept car is like a Justin Bieber concert without awful music -- it's never gonna happen. So it'll come as no surprise to learn the German car maker is serving up a new offering, in the form of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept, for Frankfurt 2013.

Eagle-eyes car fans may have noticed that this is a futuristic homage to the legendary Sport Quattro of yesteryear, with plenty of stylistic nods to its 80s predecessor – the angular, flat C-pillars and the rectangular double headlights in particular.
The Audi Sport Quattro Concept wouldn't be a quattro if it wasn't packing a fancy four-wheel-drive system, and luckily it's been fitted with a 21st century incarnation of Audi's iconic quattro powertrain.
Power comes from a hybrid system consisting of a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 that produces 552bhp and 700 Nm (516.29 lb-ft) of torque, which works alongside a disc-shaped electric motor producing 110 kW and 400 Nm (295.02 lb-ft).
The pair channel a combined 690bhp and 800Nm to all four wheels via an eight speed tiptronic transmission, which features a sport differential on the rear axle for optimum hoonery.
Performance is, unsurprisingly, brutal; 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 189mph.
Audi says it'll return 113mpg with CO2 emissions of 59g/km.Yet this performance doesn't come at the expense of fuel efficiency. Audi says it'll return 113mpg with CO2 emissions of 59g/km. What's more, the Sport Quattro Concept can run on electric power alone thanks to a user-rechargeable 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack located in the rear.
Several driving modes are available including EV for all-electric motoring, a Sport mode for optimum performance and a hybrid mode that intelligently mixes and matches output from the petrol engine and electric motor.
We won't be holding our collective breaths for a release any time soon. We've seen too many Audi concept cars come and go to hold much hope of this one actually being built. That said, there's every likelihood that individual technologies featured on the concept could end up being deployed in Audi's road cars.

I'm not entirely sure i like the new design....

Prefer the original concept. Although, i do like little bits from both....

Personally preferred the predecessor, but I'd rather see this being released than nothing at all which has happened so far.
