i tried g.s.f but they no longer stock them and my local main dealer wants £151 +vat .i nearly choked.
anyone else found an alternative source .

I've spent a lot of time trying to find the correct pump from anyone except the Audi dealer but have admitted defeat - I'll live with the hum! With VAT Audi want £180 which is outrageous! GSF sell the correct part numbered pump with an adapter kit, but it turns out to be the new larger pump (which is completely different) with the 'resevoir' which is already in the car (for the smaller pump and so doesn't fit the new pump!). I found a Dutch Audi spares site and the photo showed the correct pump but I didn't pursue it. The part number is 895 906 089E

Try GSF carparts u can get loads of spares on there for all german, swedish and french cars.

In my experience GSF tend to be a waste of time if you don't own a bus or beetle!Besides they now own URO which is a bit of a shame.
Anyway the best bet for me personally is to try www.eurocarparts.com they never let me down and tend to be the cheapest around, there is also www.vagparts.com as mentioned but they are limited in stock and are a little on the pricey side.A good breakers in manchester that specialise in Audi's and VW's www.vwaudispares.co.uk may also be worth a try.
