AUDI 80 1993 2ltr 16V - IDLE SPEED

Hi

Purchased car in Jan 04 and have had afew problems. Lamda probe changed but car does not start that well ( takes time to fire and build up to idle speed) when car warms up idle speed very often sticks at 1200rpm. Any ideas?

Could be a vacuum leak somewhere on the inlet side. check all hoses and the clamps. check the idle stabiliser valve (use carb cleaner to clean any dirt out of it).
Once the car has warmed up does it run smoothly?
