Burning smell

just a quick question as i am a total noob when it comes to Automatic box's but after taking my new audi 80 out for a good long drive today it started to smell like the cluch was burning on it


even thow i have benn told that they dont have a cluch any ideas what it could be

Check your transmission fluid ...You have a torque converter..click link for info

thanks i have read the link and there is no noise at all coming from it and it is running very smothly

checked the transmision fluid whyen the engine is hot and it is fine
looks to be a little on the full side like some one has put too much in at some stage but did not thing that would matter

Does not sound like a gearbox related thing would be looking elsewhere ,shafts and belts
