looking at an audi coupe on tues

hi all a mate of mine is looking at a coupe 2.3 auto anything he should look out for it has done around 120k?

we went to have a look at the car today was supposed to be a stunning example what a mess half the electrics wasnt working although when we restarted the some of the electrics came back also there was a loud what seems a bearing noise although the dealer said it must be the tyre, what a waste of time. i know it was an old car 1991 but i would expect better than that.

I reckon you were right to do a runner. And you should certainly expect more than that, especially considering the car was advertised as a lovely example. It may be old but that doesn't mean you have to deal with dodgy electronics or a car that is out of shape.

I picked up my '90 2.3 Coupe from a local dealer a couple of weeks ago. I was lucky enough to find one that's been looked after - all the electrics work and it drives like a dream so they are out there. Unfortunately you have to sift through the crap to find them!
