Thermostat replacement

Is my thermostat located anywhere near the water pump on my Coupe 2.0 16v 'cos it doesn't appear to be visible on the top block?

Yes, its on the underside of the waterpump housing. You have to take off the 'adaptor' that the bottom hose connects to.
