Dashboard Display Fuse Problem

Just wondering if anyone can help. I have a 1997 Cabriolet and the fuse for the gauges, speedo, rev counter etc. blew. Having replaced it, I noticed the ABS light now stays on. Further, every time I replace the fuse, it blows again within 10 minutes or so. Could the ABS fault be causing the fuse to blow? Anyone suffered similar problems?
