How could you get more power out of an Audi 5000S?

Does anyone know how I could get more power out of my Audi 5000S.It was made in 86.What would you people suggest for me to get the power out of it.Any performance parts anyone can think of.I just want to get the most power out of it.Thanks in the mean time.
 
Tell me more about your 5000s what bhp is it at present, It is the 5 pot yes? Do you now the engine code? It is Turbo Yes??

Sorry it took me so long to reply.I just havent been on lately.Well, the book that i have says it is at 130 bhp and 140 ft. lbs. of torque.I got this from the engine code.The engine code is NF 020 080 and it is not a turbo.The engine is 2.3L.Well, thanks for you help.
 
It's a company located in the UK. They were selling a engine kit ...meaning you have to do some engine work...for about 1200 bucks ...brings it up to about 190 bhp.

this was cheaper then a turbo and adds a nasty sting to that engine.

Does that company have a website?If so please tell me.Well, I would have a few years to buy that, because I am still in school.Also during the summer for me, I could make about that much so I could get that engine kit.It would be awsome if I get that.I'm still slowy trying to get my car running better also.I am happy that I will now have a way to increase my power on my car without haveing to goto a turbo.But thanks for the help with the way to increase the power on the car.
 
Cannon - you have a superb engine there - one of the Audi greats. TSR started life in Exeter as Tim Stiles Racing and Tim specialised initially in Golfs and Sciroccos with the also superb 1600 / 1800 Bosch K-Jetronic engines.
I've replied to your post about difficult warm starting. When I was at school I designed and built an EPROM-driven ignition-advance system for the early K-Jet cars in order to get over the achilles heel of week advance springs in the distributer. If this is your thing I'll send you the design - you would need to measure your specific advance and program the curve for the EPROM though. This is not as bad as it sounds, you just give it some hex values for 16 points on the curve.

Well, sometimes I don't get the terms everyone uses for cars. Well, I don't understand what you mean by "hex values for 16 points on the curve". As I said, I am still in school, High School that is, but I also have 2 weeks off for now. Well, I have a little while until I can do some performance onto it. Well, thanks for telling me that I have a superb engine.
 
Sorry! - Hex isn't a car term, it is a representation of mathematical number 'base' - just like decimal or binary. In order to 'map' a curve on a programmable chip, hex is used by virtue of its rapid conversion to binary with an on-chip compiler (converting from decimal would take longer and use up more memory).
If you never dabble in computers then just ignore it!
