1996 audi cabrio heater fan switch

Hi Guys ,
The fan speed control switch only seems to operate the fan on speed 3 ??
Any ideas ?

There are resistors that control the power to the fan motor. You may want to check these out first.

Where are these resistors located ? on the fan motor ?

It looks from the diagram that they are located either in the engine compartment on the firewall in the middle, or they are under your dash in more or less the same location. (The etka drawing is not all that accurate). The part number given is 4A0 941 699B.

I would suggest following the wiring coming out of the fan motor, those should lead you straight to the resistors.
