Has anyone had anything similar to this at all? I noticed my driver side (right hand), rear brake was making a grinding noise when the brake pedal was pushed. Ahh I thought, must be rear shoes low on brake material. (rear drums on my `85 2.2).
But when I removed the rear hub the shoes are hardly worn, and not that old. The leading shoe had a slight amount of heat damage, where about a 1mm depth had to be scraped off.
I cleaned everything up, re-greased, then roadtested. After an afternoon of town driving the grinding came back.
Whats causing this.
Any help greatfully appreciated. Thanks, Lee B
