    Brake Squealing

Can anyone suggest the main reason why my 2.0 coupe brakes are squealing?
I've recently changed the rear disc and pads but they occasionally end up getting very hot and squeaky again, are the calipers shot or could there be a problem with the handbrake?

This is a very common problem with the calipers ...you really need to take caliper off and strip ...common fault is that the seal in piston chamber get dirt under it and prevents the vacuum affect that it should cause after you take your foot off the brake which causes the pressure still on disc giving you the noise and of course the handbrake lever sticks as well so that does not help ...so stripping down and clean with carb cleaner and grease with copper grease that should help

    Cheers

Have had a hunt about and think the only place you will get them is off the dealer ?.....would not think that they will be expensive......

See if you can get a hold of a ETKA CD ROM which will give you whole breakdown of caliper and were the seal is situated and to give you better idea of part you are looking for and number
