I've a grinding coming from the back of the car and beleive my rear diff is on its way out. I've dropped the oil which was black and had some metalic particalls in it. The O/S output also has lateral play in it so looks like this bearing may have failed.
I'm looking at changing the diff and overhauling it when I get the chance.
I'm hoping someone could tell me if all of these diffs ate the same (coupe 2.3/2.8/S2 & saloon)
